Erica L. Okerberg Recognized as VIXIO GamblingCompliance’s ‘Rising Star’

LAS VEGAS – Oct. 30, 2020 – Erica L. Okerberg of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has received the “Rising Star” award from VIXIO GamblingCompliance Global Regulatory Awards 2020. The award recognizes individuals who represent the next generation of responsible gambling and compliance, according to the publication’s website. Awardees have achieved success as new players in the industry, raised the profile of their organizations, and created a culture of compliance as their careers progress, according to GamblingCompliance.

Okerberg, an associate in the Las Vegas office, focuses her practice on gaming law, including licensing and regulatory work; and promotional law, including sweepstakes and social gaming. Her experience includes assisting U.S. and international clients with regulatory and operational matters; representing clients in connection with gaming applications; researching and analyzing a variety of gaming-related topics – from state and federal sports wagering requirements to the application of anti-gambling laws; preparing materials for and assisting with sweepstakes, contests, and other promotional offers; and counseling clients regarding social gaming and skill games. Outside of her practice, among other things, Okerberg is on the executive committee of the Gaming Law Section of the Nevada Bar, serves as co-editor of Nevada Gaming Lawyer, and is the editor of the GLS eNewsletter.
