Elizabeth Yaeger to Speak at ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development

WASHINGTON, D.C. – May 25, 2022Elizabeth Dominguez Yaeger, a Real Estate Practice shareholder in the Washington, D.C. office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the 2022 meeting of the American Bar Association Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development. This annual meeting is being held May 25-27 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Yaeger will speak on a panel titled “Drafting and Negotiating Loan Documents” that will provide an overview of the various construction loan documents  and financial structures found in the affordable housing industry. She will discuss key points for drafting these documents, terms and provisions that generally are deemed non-negotiable, and hot-button issues for both lenders and developers, including interest rates and recent considerations for the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program.  

Yaeger focuses her practice on the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing of commercial real estate properties. Her clients include financial institutions, developers, owners, and investors. Yaeger advises clients on affordable housing transactions, including the tax credit syndications of LIHTCs and financings involving tax-exempt and taxable bond financings for the development, operation, and maintenance of affordable multifamily properties. Also active in the hospitality sector, she has handled matters involving hotels, resorts, and golf courses, including representation of one of the largest vacation ownership companies in the world.
