Johanna Hofmann advises German and international companies on regulatory issues and technology, IT and digitalization projects. The focus of her work lies in data protection-compliant structuring of existing and future business relationships, cloud computing, data protection certification and data security management as well as advising on e-money, payment services and financial services laws, AML regulation and distribution, competition and consumer protection laws. Through long-term secondments with a German group of companies and the German subsidiary of an US-American technology group, Johanna has also gained deep insights into group-wide compliance systems.
Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Johanna worked with an international law firm for over two years. Prior to this, for several years she was a member of the project group for constitutionally compatible technology design and was in charge of an interdisciplinary research project on the dynamic data protection and IT security certification of cloud computing services.
