Jennifer Yoon Jee Kim

Jennifer Kim is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Orange County office.

As a law student, she co-authored an amicus brief for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, detailing stories of individuals suffering from irreparable harm as a result of their unlawful immigration detention, which was cited by the Ninth Circuit.



  • GT’s Ginger Pigott, Jack McBride, and Jennifer Kim obtained asylum for Sandra H., a member of the LGBT community from El Salvador who fled his home country after receiving multiple threats and harm from the police, local gang members, and others affiliated with the local gang because of his sexual orientation.
  • GT’s Tyler Andrews, Bethany Rabe, Chrisdo Fan, and Jennifer Kim assisted a refugee in a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals victory related to the denial of a Chinese refugee’s asylum claim based on political persecution. The refugee faced potential imprisonment and physical harm in China for sending religious materials to her family members in small village in China.
  • GT’s Valerie Ho and Jennifer Kim won $14,600 in damages and $20,000 in rent credit under the Federal Housing Act, California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act, and California’s Immigrant Tenant Protection Act for immigrant tenants who were harassed by their landlord.
