The Sacramento Chapter has hosted the Supreme Court Year in Review annually for over twenty-five years. The program is an open discussion between professors at local law schools who provide a candid assessment of key decisions rendered by the United States Supreme Court in the previous term. This year's program will feature Professor J. Clark Kelso of the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and Professor Brian Soucek of the University of California, Davis, School of Law. They will place this past term's decisions in a larger context, discussing the trends the Court is taking, the effect of the decisions on the practice of law as a whole, and discuss key anticipated cases of the next term.
