2021 is on pace to be the hottest year on record for American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) website accessibility claims. Paired with the accessibility requirements under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other laws, as well as recent scrutiny on the effectiveness of accessibility overlays and plugins, website accessibility is more important than ever. Tyler Thompson of Greenberg Traurig's data team led a discussion on Thursday, June 10 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. MDT that focused on website accessibility requirements and compliance options, the intersection of the ADA and the CCPA, new issues with overlays and plugins, the Unruh Civil Rights Act, and other key digital accessibility issues.
