Greenberg Traurig’s Alfredo J. Gonzalez Appointed Vice-Chair of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce

MIAMI (Oct. 21, 2014) – Greenberg Traurig shareholder Alfredo J. Gonzalez has been appointed Vice-Chair of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors.

The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1921 to promote the economic well-being of Miami Beach’s citizens, to improve the quality of life for the entire community, and to communicate the view of the business community on major issues of public policy.

“I am honored to accept this new leadership role as Vice-Chair of the Board,” said Gonzalez. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to ensure the continued growth and success of the Miami Beach business community.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Gonzalez focuses his practice on the areas of local government law, particularly land use, zoning, code issues, procurement and development law. He represents major developers in securing governmental approvals on both large scale residential and commercial projects. Gonzalez has also represented clients with entertainment venues on a variety of matters, including conditional use permit approvals or noise violations.

In addition to serving on the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors, Gonzalez has been involved in a multitude of professional and community organizations including former Board Member and Executive Committee, Beacon Council; former Board Member and Board of Trustees, History Miami; and Member, American Bar Association.
