Early in 2014, the practice was recognized by Law360 as a 2013 "Practice Group of the Year for Employment." This is the second time that Greenberg Traurig received this recognition. According to Law360, the designation is given to firms that excelled at getting the job done for clients in litigation and deals in 2013. Winners are selected based on the significance, size, and complexity as well as number of significant, large, or complex litigation wins or deals worked on between November 1, 2012, and November 1, 2013.

Human Resource Executive® and Lawdragon

Peter W. Zinober, Co-Chair of the Global Labor & Employment Practice — based in Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office — was inducted to the second annual Employment Lawyers Hall of Fame for 2014 of Lawdragon’s joint project with Human Resource Executive® - "Nations Most Powerful Employment Attorneys." To achieve Hall of Fame status, an attorney must have 35 years "in the employment law trenches and requires consistent recognition for all-around excellence in counseling clients, contributing to the bar, and serving as a visionary to improve workplaces." Each year, only 10 attorneys nationwide are added to the Hall of Fame.

Charles S. Birenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s Chair of Northern California in San Francisco, and James N. Boudreau, National Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice's Class and Collective Action Group in Philadelphia, were named to the "The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys – Top 100" by Lawdragon and Human Resource Executive® magazine. Laura Foote Reiff — Co-Managing Shareholder in the Northern Virginia office and Co-Chair of the Business Immigration & Compliance Practice — was also named by Lawdragon and Human Resource Executive® magazine as one of the 2014 "Nation’s Top 20 Employment Attorneys for Immigration."

Chambers Global Guide – USA Labour & Employment

Chambers Global Guide's 2014 USA Labour & Employment Section recognized Peter Zinober and Richard C. McCrea, Jr. — also a shareholder in the firm’s Tampa office and Co-Chair of the National Labor & Employment Non-Compete/Trade Secret and Employment Contract Litigation Group. Who’s Who Legal 'International Who’s Who of Management Labour & Employment Lawyers'

Five Greenberg Traurig shareholders — Peter Zinober, Richard McCrea, Robert Goldich (Operating Shareholder, Philadelphia), Joseph Fleming and T.M.J. Lawyers of Color Annual 'Hot List'

Two labor and employment attorneys — Keshia M. Tiemann and Sumaya Ellard, both in the firm’s Atlanta office — were named to this year’s Lawyers of Color "Annual Hot List" for the Southern Region. Angela F. Ramson (Atlanta) and Nikki Lewis Simon (Miami) from the Litigation Practice were also named. All honorees are chosen based on noteworthy accomplishments in the legal field, with special attention given to candidates who were active in diversity initiatives.

'Lawyers of the Year' by Best Lawyers in America

Bridget A. Berry, a shareholder in the West Palm Beach office, and Lorence Jon Bielby, a shareholder in Tallahassee, were each selected as a 2015 "Lawyer of the Year" for Litigation – Labor and Employment by Best Lawyers in America. Inclusion is based on peer review. Only one lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is recognized as a "Lawyer of the Year."
