City & State Recognizes Greenberg Traurig’s Ed Wallace as One of the 'Power 100'

NEW YORK – Feb. 25, 2015 – Edward C. Wallace, co-chairman of the New York City office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, has been listed on City & State’s 2015 NYC POWER 100 List. This is the second consecutive year he has been listed.

The NYC POWER 100 List is City & State’s distinction of important people inside of and outside of New York City government and includes many notable New Yorkers, including leading elected officials, business leaders, civic leaders,  business leaders, lawyers, and consultants.

Wallace is a former New York City Council member-at-large (Manhattan) and Chief of Staff to Council President and Board of Estimate member Carol Bellamy. From 1986 to 1992, he served as vice president for finance at Mort Zuckerman’s Boston Properties. He began his career in the Chelsea neighborhood office of the Legal Aid Society. Wallace was chair of New Yorkers for Parks from 2012-2014, which The New York Times called “the city’s leading parks advocacy group.” He now sits on the board of the organization. He serves as counsel to the Citizens Budget Commission, is on the board of directors of the French American Foundation, and has been listed in multiple additions of The Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell.

He has provided advice regarding economic development and land use approval counsel to major financial institutions, real estate developers, and prestigious New York higher education institutions.
