Karlinsky, shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., will co-chair the American Conference Institute’s Ninth National Forum on Insurance Regulation. He will welcome insurance industry leaders and decision makers on Thursday, Feb. 26 at the start of the two-day conference at The Carlton Hotel in New York, N.Y. Following his opening remarks, Karlinsky will moderate the second-half of an informative 3.5 hour panel titled, “State Insurance Regulator Insights on Priorities for 2015, Trends in State Regulation, Dodd-Frank Impact on States & More: Ensure Your Compliance Programs Are In Line With Upcoming Changes.
Karlinsky is also a co-presenter on the topic of proposed regulation of private equity investment in insurance companies on Friday, Feb. 27 at 11:10 a.m. The presentation will address issues surrounding the recent rise in private equity firm participation in M&A activity in the insurance sector, regulatory action from states and guidance from NAIC, among other concerns.
Karlinsky is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group and a shareholder within the Government Law & Policy Group. He represents insurers, reinsurers, producers and other insurance interests throughout the U.S. and internationally in a wide variety of business, operational, regulatory, transactional and governmental matters. Recognized as one of the top insurance lawyers by Chambers and Partners, Karlinsky has extensive knowledge of insurance compliance matters and is a sought-after thought leader who has spoken and presented papers to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally.
