Greenberg Traurig Attorneys Speak at Pennsylvania Environmental Law Forum

PHILADELPHIA – April 13, 2015 – Caleb J. Holmes and Jillian C. Kirn from the Philadelphia office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP presented at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Annual Environmental Law Forum. The Forum was held April 8-9, 2015 at the Harrisburg Hilton & Towers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The Environmental Law Forum provides an intensive learning experience for practitioners surrounding legal updates, best practices, new technologies, and roundtables discussions.

  • Ms. Kirn spoke about “Industrial Water Intake and Wastewater Discharge,” and
  • Mr. Holmes presented the “Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Hazardous Substance Cleanup Act (HSCA), and Act 2 Update.”

Kirn focuses her practice on environmental and energy matters. She represents clients in litigation in state and federal courts and works on behalf of developers and corporations in connection with the acquisition, transfer, financing, and sale of contaminated real estate, including complex project redevelopments and environmental liability transfers.

Holmes concentrates his practice on environmental litigation, including CERCLA, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and oil and gas. He has litigated a number of CERCLA cases, including both the allocation and enforcement cases arising from the Fox River and Green Bay site in northeast Wisconsin.

David G. Mandelbaum, also of Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office, is a course planner for the forum.
