Greenberg Traurig Shareholder David E. Wells Named Board Member of ACG South Florida

MIAMI March 28, 2016David E. Wells, a shareholder in the Miami Mergers & Acquisitions Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named to the Board of Directors of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) South Florida Chapter.

Wells was appointed as a board member in early 2016. Greenberg Traurig will also serve as a Platinum Sponsor of the South Florida Chapter.

Founded in 1954, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) is a global association for professionals involved in corporate growth, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions.

“I look forward to expanding my involvement with the ACG South Florida Chapter and working together with my fellow professionals to strengthen the South Florida business community,” Wells said.

At Greenberg Traurig, Wells focuses on advising public and private companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. In the mergers and acquisition space, he has worked on a wide variety of transactions, including public company mergers, going-private transactions, strategic and financial investments and divestitures, public and private leveraged acquisitions and spin-offs, exchange offers, tender offers and hostile-takeovers and defenses. He recently worked on the sale of Pet Supermarket to Roark Capital, the sale of Angel's Envy Bourbon to Bacardi and the sale of Metropolitan Health to Humana.
