Greenberg Traurig Attorney Fred E. Karlinsky Speaks at the IRES Foundation’s National School on Market Regulation

FORT LAUDERDALE and TALLAHASSEE, Fla. April  26, 2016Fred E. Karlinsky, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A recently spoke at the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society (IRES) Foundation’s National School on Market Regulation held April 18 and 19 in San Antonio, Texas. Karlinsky, a member of the IRES Foundation Board, introduced keynote speaker Texas State Insurance Commissioner David Mattax and moderated a panel entitled “Emerging Issues: Commissioner’s Forum.” Panelists included Texas Insurance Commissioner David Mattax, Illinois Director Anne Melissa Dowling and Kansas Insurance Commissioner Ken Selzer.

Karlinsky is Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice Group and a shareholder within the Government Law & Policy Group. He has over twenty years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers and other insurance-related entities throughout the United States and internationally in a wide variety of business, operational, regulatory, transactional and governmental matters. Recognized as one of the top insurance lawyers by Chambers and Partners, a global attorney ranking organization, Karlinsky has an in-depth knowledge of insurance compliance matters.

Karlinsky has been a primary strategist in all types of Florida insurance-related legislative initiatives, including homeowners, automobile, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice and other lines of property and casualty, and life and health.  He is a recognized authority on national insurance regulatory and compliance issues who has spoken and presented papers to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally.

Karlinsky received a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
