Reiniers has significant experience advising and defending clients in labor arbitration hearings, collective bargaining, and employment litigation, with a focus on claims of discrimination, retaliation, and failure to accommodate disabilities. He also has defended clients in matters involving unfair labor practices, actions under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, writs of certiorari challenging quasi-judicial decisions of boards, and violations of wage-hour laws, including class/collective actions.
In addition, Reiniers completed externships for Judge Maurice Paul of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and for Judge Jay P. Cohen of the Fifth District Court of Appeal.
Reiniers received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he was a Notes & Comments Editor of the Florida Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with degrees in both economics and philosophy—both with 4.0 GPAs and as Valedictorian. After college, Tristan was awarded a Fulbright graduate fellowship to teach English at a public school in rural South Korea. When he returned, he was an English professor at the University of Central Florida before attending law school.
