Greenberg Traurig Attorneys to Lead Perfluorochemicals in Food Packaging and Drinking Water Webinar

PHILADELPHIA- April 20, 2017 – Francis A. Citera and Kaitlyn R. Maxwell of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will lead the “Perfluorochemicals in Food Packaging and Drinking Water” webinar with Lawline, April 24 at 1:30 p.m.

Citera and Maxwell will provide an overview of perfluorochemicals, how they are regulated in food contact materials and drinking water, and the reactions to a Silent Spring Institute Study and a California bill that seeks to restrict the use of fluorinated chemicals in food packaging materials.

Citera is co-chair of the firm's Products Liability & Mass Torts Litigation Group and co-chair of the Chicago Litigation Practice. He has over 30 years of experience defending toxic tort actions, and other complex litigation in both federal and state courts. He has tried many cases to verdict, including an action by the government to enforce a unilateral administrative order, an allocation case among potentially responsible parties, and a complex product liability, wrongful death case. He has been described by Legal 500 as being "renowned for his toxic tort and product liability work."

Maxwell focuses her practice on environmental and commercial litigation. She advises clients on regulatory compliance issues and represents clients in litigation in state and federal courts.  Her work includes litigation of major contamination cases under the hazardous waste and Superfund laws.
