MIAMI – May 12, 2017 - Co-Managing Shareholder Tracy L. Gerber of Greenberg Traurig, LLP's West Palm Beach office has been named one of 25 Influential Business Women of 2017 by the South Florida Business Journal. The honor is given to women who have made profoundly positive impacts within their professions and their communities, and have a strong record of leadership, performance and innovation in their respective industries. Gerber and the other award recipients were honored on May 12 at an event at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.
“I’m especially proud to receive this award because, to me, a large part of being an influential business woman means mentoring other women in the legal profession - both at Greenberg Traurig and within the Florida Association for Women Lawyers,” Gerber said. “I truly feel that their success is my success and I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of it.”
Gerber is a member of the international law firm's Securities Litigation Practice Group as well as the Labor and Employment Practice Group. She represents major broker-dealers in Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations, regulatory proceedings, and state and federal courts. As lead counsel in the defense of financial services firms, Gerber has litigated numerous sales practice and employment cases involving millions of dollars in controversy.
