NEW YORK and MIAMI (Feb. 8, 2018) – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented Corporación América Airports S.A., an acquirer, developer and operator of airport concessions throughout Latin America and Europe, in its US$485 million initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange.
Trading under the symbol “CAAP”, Corporación América Airports manages and operates 52 airport facilities in Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Armenia and Peru, and served over 71 million passengers in 2016. The company's Argentine operations serve over 90 percent of the air traffic in Argentina, including in major metropolitan areas, such as Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Mendoza, and tourist destinations, such as Bariloche, Mar del Plata and Iguazu.
As part of the IPO, the company sold 11.9 million of its shares, while its shareholder sold an additional 16.7 million shares. Oppenheimer & Co., Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs acted as joint bookrunners for the IPO, with Santander serving as co-manager.
