FORT LAUDERDALE and TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – May 21, 2018 – Fred E. Karlinsky, a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. participated in the Federalist Society’s panel discussion “The Future of the Florida Constitution” on May 15 in Fort Lauderdale. The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies promotes the principles of preserving freedom and the separation of governmental powers. The panel discussed the Florida Constitution Revision Commission (CRC)’s approval of eight proposed constitutional changes to be placed on the 2018 General Election ballot for voter consideration in November. These proposed revisions resulted from 14 months of identifying issues, conducting research, considering and debating recommendations, and meeting with Floridians across the state, according to commission officials.
Karlinsky was joined on the panel by fellow Florida CRC Commissioners Tim Cerio and Hank Coxe, as well as Florida CRC General Counsel William Spicola. The panel was moderated by the Honorable Jeffrey Kuntz of the Fourth District Court of Appeal.
As a Florida CRC Commissioner, Karlinsky co-introduced five of the approved proposals and serves on the following committees:

- General Provisions
- Rules and Administration
- Style and Drafting
