Greenberg Traurig’s Corporate Practice wins an award as corporate advisory team and three awards for its representation of Rentokil Initial plc in its joint venture with Haniel & Cie. Holding Company

LONDON – 1 May, 2018 – Greenberg Traurig’s London Corporate Practice won four awards at the 2nd Annual EMEA Corporate Growth Awards held in London on 25 April, presented by The M&A Advisor. The team was recognised as corporate advisory team of the year and also for its representation of Rentokil Initial plc (Rentokil) on its joint venture with Haniel & Cie. Holding Company (Haniel) in the following categories:

  • Corporate Development Team Awards Category – Advisory/Consulting
  • Transaction of the Year (Over £500MM - £1 Billion)
  • Industrials Deal of the Year (£100MM - £1Billion)
  • Utilities Deal of the Year

The team was also shortlisted for Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year.

The joint venture was formed through the transfer of various Rentokil businesses into CWS-boco - a company owned by Haniel. The transaction brought together Rentokil’s Workwear and Hygiene businesses in 10 countries, principally in the Benelux and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) regions, and multiple Haniel’s businesses located in 17 countries. The joint venture created a leading provider of workwear and hygiene services in Europe with combined revenues of c. €1.1bn.

The team was led by Paul Maher and Fiona Adams with support from Henrietta Walker, Sarah Moyles, Robert Carlon, Amy Moore, Declan Grady, Lauren Mitchell, Cate Sharp, Aonghus Heatley, Emma Menzies, Graham Iversen, Gillian Sproul, and Simon Harms in London; Josef Hofschroer, Stefan Lütje, Georg von Wallis, Natalie Hsiao, Laura Zentner, Niklas Conrad, and Carsten Kociok in Berlin; and Daniel Kaczorowski in Warsaw.

The EMEA Corporate Growth Awards recognise and celebrate the corporations, transactions, teams and professionals who played integral roles in successful corporate development in 2017. More than 300 individual companies from across Africa, Europe, and The Middle East submitted to the 2018 award series.
