Alex Scarola and Vanessa Albert Lowry to Speak at The Bond Buyer’s Mid-Atlantic Municipal Market Conference 2019

PHILADELPHIA – Oct. 24, 2019 – Alexander L. Scarola and Vanessa Albert Lowry, shareholders in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Philadelphia office, will speak  at The Bond Buyer’s Mid-Atlantic Municipal Market Conference 2019, Oct. 24th at the Union League Club in Philadelphia.

Scarola will moderate the panel, “Current Regulatory Developments: How Enhanced Disclosure is Faring.” The panelists will discuss how expanded disclosure rules are being implemented and how to disclose on the topics of cybersecurity and climate change.

Albert Lowry will speak on the panel, “Financing Airports for the Long Haul.” The panel discussion will focus on traditional and non-traditional methods for financing major airport projects. With the popularity of air travel rising, these projects, such as new terminals, terminal expansions, runway improvements, and access projects are becoming increasingly important.

Scarola focuses his practice on public finance, project finance, P3 transactions, and commercial lending. He has served as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, underwriter’s counsel, bank’s counsel, purchaser’s counsel, disclosure counsel, swap counsel, and credit enhancer’s counsel in numerous tax-exempt and taxable financing transactions, including general obligation, public utilities, multifamily housing, 501(c)(3), higher education, stadium, industrial development, and health care.

Albert Lowry is a 103 tax lawyer who focuses her practice on the tax aspects of public finance transactions, particularly structured transactions (including airport structure transactions), and related asset securitization matters, as well as investment and repurchase agreements.
