Ted Blum to Speak at Thomson Reuters Southeastern M&A/Private Equity Forum

ATLANTA – Oct. 2, 2019 – Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Atlanta office, Theodore I. Blum, will speak at Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute's 15th Annual Southeastern M&A/Private Equity Forum Oct. 3 at TWELVE Midtown Hotel in Atlanta. The event brings together middle-market professionals from across the Southeastern U.S. to discuss current trends and developments across the M&A and private equity space.

Blum will participate in a panel titled, "The Consummate Professional: Ethical Issues in M&A Transactions," which will address challenges facing M&A deals and touch on ethical considerations specific to cross-border transactions. Blum will be joined by Elizabeth Edelman, General Counsel, Compliance and Privacy Officer at RiverMend Health; Mark Kuehnert, Executive Director, Forensic & Integrity Services at Ernest & Young; and Jill Rothstein, Assistant General Counsel at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. Carol Morgan, Clinical Professor and Director of the Business Law and Ethics Program at the University of Georgia, will moderate the panel.

Blum is chair of the firm’s Atlanta Corporate Practice. He leads and advises a team with the strategic business, legal and market experience needed to manage and close complex transactions, as well as to provide counsel on day-to-day operations. Ted concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and corporate finance. Blum has experience representing buyers and sellers in the structuring and negotiation of complex, multimillion-dollar mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of public and privately held companies. These transactions include leveraged buyouts, tax-free reorganizations, stock redemptions and acquisitions of financially troubled or insolvent companies.
