Brian Witkowski Joins Greenberg Traurig’s Benefits & Compensation Practice in Chicago

CHICAGO – Feb. 26, 2019 – Brian Witkowski has joined the Chicago office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a shareholder in the Benefits & Compensation Practice. Prior to joining the firm, Witkowski was counsel at Arnold & Porter in Chicago.

Witkowski counsels clients on compensation and benefits matters, with a focus on executive compensation. His experience includes work for Fortune 500 companies, private equity funds, start-ups, management teams, and individual C-level executives.

In the executive compensation area, Witkowski advises employers and executives on employment, severance, equity incentive, and change in control arrangements, and related tax considerations, including Code Section 409A compliance. He also provides counseling in the employee benefits and employment areas.

Witkowski has advised private equity clients and strategic acquirers on the compensation and benefits aspects of more than 200 mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across a variety of industries.

Witkowski received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
