Greenberg Traurig’s Raquel Lord to Speak at Centerforce’s Women, Diversity & Change Summit

NEW YORK  May 8, 2019Raquel Lord, of counsel in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s New Jersey office, will speak at Centerforce’s Women, Diversity & Change Summit to be held May 8, in New York City.

The Women Diversity & Change Summit is a full-day conference which will cover topics such as self-advocacy, unconscious bias, sponsorship, and succeeding in male dominate environments. Lord will participate on the panel “Dealing with Unconscious Bias & Discrimination,” which will focus on types unconscious bias; how to discuss the topic with senior, peer, and junior colleagues; and reporting it.

Lord focuses her practice on employment matters. She represents an array of clients, including those from the health care, financial services, package delivery, and retail industries. She assists clients with hiring and termination procedures, performance management, employee discipline, responding to complaints of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, disability accommodations, employee leave issues, wage and hour compliance, restrictive covenants, and social media issues, and regularly appears in federal and state court on behalf of clients in connection with litigation. Lord is also very active in Greenberg Traurig’s Women’s Initiative (GTWI) in the New Jersey office.
