Greenberg Traurig assists Isarkids with restructuring in self-administration

Berlin, 23 July 2019GT Restructuring, the restructuring unit of Greenberg Traurig in Germany, has advised the Munich-based Isarkids Group (Isarkids) on its restructuring within the context of a self-administration procedure. With around 100 employees, Isarkids operates daycare centers at seven different locations. It is one of the largest private providers of childcare services in Munich and the surrounding area.

Seven interested parties were involved in the selection process of the final phase of the bidding procedures. Unsere Champions GmbH managed to assert itself during the bidding process and acquired all shares in the Isarkids companies. The new shareholder is backed by a group that operates on an international scale in the educational field. Unsere Champions GmbH runs daycare centers at several locations in Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria.

While setting up and managing the M&A process, GT Restructuring and administrator Oliver Schartl of law firm Müller-Heydenreich Bierbach & Kollegen worked closely together. Within the context of successful and coordinated insolvency plan proceedings, it was possible to complete the process within five months.

GT Restructuring comprehensively advised Isarkids within the scope of the self-administration proceedings and, with partner Gordon Geiser, also provided the managing director and CRO (Chief Restructuring Officer).
