DALLAS – Jan. 7, 2020 – Two shareholders in the Dallas office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Bina Palnitkar and Todd Basile, have been selected to D Magazine’s 2020 Best Lawyers Under 40 list.

Chosen for the second consecutive year, Palnitkar is a seasoned trial lawyer focusing her practice on complex business and commercial disputes involving several industry sectors. She has served as first chair at trial and represents both global and national corporations in matters such as breach of contract, trademark infringement, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, international FCPA compliance matters, medical malpractice defense, fraud, tortious interference, and theft of trade secrets. In 2015, she secured a $6.8 million unanimous jury verdict in a complex business dispute in Dallas County.
Basile is a registered patent attorney with more than a dozen years of experience in the legal and engineering industries. His practice helps technology companies protect and commercialize their innovations and brands across a wide range of industries through strategic patent portfolio development and technology transactions. He also represents technology investors in M&A deals, negotiates software licenses and technology development agreements, and assists clients in navigating IP disputes. This year, he helped close several technology company acquisitions worth over $100 million combined and served as a contributing author for the trade publication IP Watchdog.
According to D Magazine, its 2020 Best Lawyers Under 40 listing is determined through a peer-review voting process, with ballots submitted by thousands of area lawyers. The final list was compiled by an independent panel of distinguished attorneys working in conjunction with the magazine’s editors, according to the publication.
