Greenberg Traurig’s Benjamin Aguilera Elected to Board of U.S. Mexico Bar Association

PHOENIX – Feb. 13, 2019 –  Shareholder Benjamin Aguilera of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Phoenix office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Practice, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Mexico Bar Association. 

Consisting of attorneys from both Mexico and the United States, the U.S. Mexico Bar Association is committed to providing continuing legal education, offering a forum for thoughtful discussion of cross-border legal issues, and cultivating collaboration among legal professions from the U.S. and Mexico, according to the organization’s website

Aguilera has a wide-ranging background in U.S. corporate, M&A, finance, and venture capital matters. In addition, Aguilera has experience in international transactions in Mexico, Central and South America, Spain, and Portugal in corporate, M&A, venture capital, finance, anticorruption protocols, hospitality, resorts, commercial and residential real estate, and mining matters. He has also coordinated litigation, tax, intellectual property, labor, and environmental matters in Mexico and Latin America.

Deeply involved in the Phoenix community, Aguilera is chair-elect of the State Bar of Arizona’s Business of Law Section’s Executive Council, former chair of the International Law Section’s Executive Council, and former chair of the Securities Regulation Section’s Executive Council. He also co-chairs the Arizona-Mexico Commission’s Finance, Business and Legal Committee, and is former chairman of the Board of Teen Addiction Anonymous. He is a former board member of the Greatest Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Boarder Trade Alliance, and of the Arizona Governor’s Latin Advisory Council.
