Greenberg Traurig Joins The Law Firm Antiracism Alliance

NEW YORK June 25, 2020 – As part of its Social, Racial, and Economic Justice Action Plan global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has joined the Law Firm Antiracism Alliance (LFAA). The program will be led by the firm’s award-winning Pro Bono Program and GT D.R.I.V.E.S. Diversity and Inclusion Initiative.

“As lawyers we have a responsibility to drive change, fight injustice, and advocate for justice. Never has it been more critical than now for us to recognize that role and opportunity and to act on it,” said Brian Duffy, Greenberg Traurig Chief Executive Officer.

As outlined in its charter, LFAA’s purpose is to “leverage the resources of the private bar to amplify the voices of communities and individuals oppressed by racism, to better use the law as a vehicle for change that benefits communities of color and to promote racial equity in the law and in government institutions.” As of June 23, 125 law firms have joined on.

“Greenberg Traurig is proud to join LFAA. Our Pro Bono Program has always been committed to fighting for racial, social and economic justice, and we are excited to work with the other member firms to develop new initiatives and opportunities that address systemic racism,” said Litigation Practice Shareholder Caroline J. Heller, Chair of the firm’s Global Pro Bono Program.
