Natassia Kwan

Natassia focuses her practice on defending companies against individual and mass tort claims in product liability, medical device, and pharmaceutical cases. She practices in both state and federal courts, including multidistrict litigation and coordinated proceedings. Natassia has experience taking depositions in complex cases of fact witnesses and treating physicians, preparing company witnesses for deposition, expert witness preparation, motion practice, and other aspects of preparing complex cases for trial.

Natassia was recognized by the American Bar Association as a “Top 40 Young Lawyer- On the Rise” in 2018. Also in 2018, American Lawyer magazine named Greenberg Traurig’s Product Liability group the winner of “Products Liability Litigation Department of the Year”.

Natassia was selected for and completed the ABA Section of Litigation Young Lawyer Leadership Program (YLLP) from 2017-2019. She currently serves as the Chair of the California Minority Counsel Program’s (CMCP) Ambassadors Council.

Experience

  • Represented a global biopharmaceutical company in a national multi-district class action brought by hundreds of individual plaintiffs, claiming bodily injury, negligence, and various statutory claims. Took depositions of doctors and fact witnesses, reviewed and analyzed discovery.°
  • Represented an oxygen concentrator manufacturer against claims from multiple plaintiffs, including claims of wrongful death, strict products liability, manufacturing defect, negligence, breach of warranty, and survival.°
  • Represented a wheelchair manufacturer against claims of willful misconduct, strict products liability, negligent products liability, breach of implied and expressed warranty.°
  • Represented global automobile manufacturer against claims of personal injury, negligence, products liability, emotional distress; prepared case for trial and prepared motion to exclude plaintiff’s key expert.°
  • Represented global manufacturer against class of plaintiffs, claiming violations of Cal. Unfair Competition Law, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and fraudulent nondisclosure. Oversaw written discovery and document production, prepared discovery and dispositive pleadings.°
  • Represented global manufacturer against class of plaintiffs, claiming violations of the UCL, CLRA, False Advertising Law, and breach of express and implied warranty. Oversaw written discovery and document production, prepared discovery and dispositive pleadings.°
  • Represented global manufacturer against class of plaintiffs, resulting in favorable settlement.°
  • Represented an Academy-Award winning director in an unfair competition, breach of contract, and fraud case. On the eve of trial, obtained a full dismissal of the case through a successful Motion for Terminating Sanctions and Dismissal.°
