PLI's Internet of Things 2019: Everything is Connected

The Internet of Things is a core part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution where ubiquitous electronic objects are equipped with identifying, sensing, Internet communication abilities, which enables massive scale of data collection and processing to accomplish previously unforeseen objectives. PLI's Internet of Things 2019: Everything is Connected program will focus on issues involving data rights, technology licensing, and regulations; when technology outpaces regulations; IoT for Smart Homes; cybersecurity and privacy issues; and litigation concerns. GT's Ian Ballon will be speaker during the "IoT Litigation - Identifying and Mitigating Risk Including Class Action Litigation" session, discussing IoT devices and practical means to mitigate risk including indemnification, insurance, establishing privity of contract, and creating enforceable agreements with a binding arbitration clause.
