IP Fundamentals & 18th Annual Rocky Mountain IP & Technology Law Institute - VIRTUAL

GT’s Ian Ballon (LA/SV), Amy Kramer (CO), and David Schulman (ATL) will be speakers at the 18th Annual Rocky Mountain Intellectual Property & Technology Law Institute. The event will feature industry experts providing updates on IP fundamentals including patent law, PTAB, trademark/TTAB, copyright, licensing, trade secrets, data privacy and security, and internet litigation. On July 16, Ian will present "Internet, Mobile and Digital Law Year in Review," which will highlight some of the latest case law and trends relevant to both litigators and transactional lawyers looking for practical tips on how to mitigate exposure. On July 23, Amy will be a speaker on the panel, "Anti-Counterfeiting and Online IP Infringement Strategies." The session will focus on building an IP portfolio and the components of an effective enforcement, navigating the online counterfeit jungle and winning, and building consumer education programs. Also on July 23, Ian and David will present "How Gaming Gobbled Up Entertainment - Emerging Issues." The session will discuss the rise of video gaming and displacement of scripted entertainment, the key legal issues in the gaming space, IP and privacy law issues, and what the future holds for gaming.
