Greenberg Traurig Government Law & Policy practice speakers, Lynelle Bosworth, Shareholder and Katherine Neer, Associate from the GT Albany office hosted a webinar on the overview of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA) that was signed into law by Gov. Cuomo on March 31.
The MRTA creates a new framework to regulate the production and sale of cannabis, introducing a new adult-use cannabis program and expanding the existing medical cannabis and cannabinoid (CBD) hemp programs. GT presenters will also discuss The Office of Cannabis Management, Market Structure and Local Control, Taxes and Social Equity Fund.
