NEW YORK – Nov. 9, 2007 -- Greenberg Traurig has been selected as “USA Law Firm of the Year.” The award was presented at the 2007 Chambers Global Awards ceremony in London on November 8, 2007.

The Chambers Global Awards Program honors excellence in legal services in jurisdictions around the world.   Finalists are determined by independent research carried out during the prior 12 months compiling the Chambers Global, USA and UK directories.  Winning firms are selected by a distinguished panel of judges made up of international corporate buyers of legal services.

Greenberg Traurig Chief Executive Officer Cesar L. Alvarez said, "We value this award as an important recognition of our original vision: to be in the major U.S. growth markets, as well as the key business and government centers, with top quality lawyers; to be part of the communities in which we practice; to be broad in our practices; to cater to a diverse client base; to be diverse in our makeup; and to do it all in a unique culture, where we are committed to individual respect, collaboration, change and results."

The other law firms shortlisted for this award include: Latham & Watkins LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP,  Hogan & Hartson LLP,  Morrison & Foerster LLP, and Ropes & Gray LLP. In 2006, Greenberg Traurig and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP were selected as runners up for the award.
