DENVER (June 13, 2014) – Neil Oberfeld, real estate shareholder in the Denver office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP, was appointed chair of the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL) Mountain States Regional Board of Directors at the group’s annual meeting on June 10.
Oberfeld first joined ADL’s Mountain States Regional Board in 1991, and has been recognized by ADL nationally with the Daniel Ginsberg Leadership Award and locally with the Fred Silverberg Young Leadership Award. He has co-chaired many of ADL’s regional committees and serves as a member of ADL’s National Commission. Oberfeld served as chair-elect in 2013 prior to being named chairman of the board.
Oberfeld’s community involvement spans across industries and organizations including serving on the following boards and committees:
- Member of the Law Conference Planning Committee and Legal Advisory Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers 2013 conference.
- Commissioner and Past Chair of the Governor's Commission on Community Service/Serve Colorado.
- Trustee of the Rose Community Foundation and chair of the Foundation’s Jewish Life Committee.
A member of the firm’s Real Estate practice, Oberfeld concentrates on business and real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, leasing, investment and finance as well as other areas. He earned his law degree at the Boston University School of Law and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
In addition to Oberfeld’s election as chair, Greenberg Traurig’s Sam Levy and Ali Brodie have been confirmed to another year of board service. Denver associate Adam Ross continues to serve in his current board capacity and will be up for re-election in 2015. All three continue to serve on the ADL’s Mountain States Regional Board of Directors in various capacities.
