Greenberg Traurig’s Alan T. Dimond Honored at ADL Miami 2015 Jurisprudence Award Luncheon

MIAMI Nov. 24, 2015Alan T. Dimond, a Shareholder in the Miami Litigation Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recognized by the Anti-Defamation League of Miami at the 2015 Jurisprudence Award Luncheon held Nov. 19 at the JW Marriot Marquis in Miami.

Greenberg Traurig Co-Chairman Cesar L. Alvarez, Co-President Hilarie Bass, and Co-Chairman Matthew B. Gorson served as Co-Chairs of the award luncheon, for which the firm served as one of the main sponsors.

The Jurisprudence Award was established to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the legal profession and to the community at large, while exemplifying the principles upon which the Anti-Defamation League was founded. Recipients of the Jurisprudence Award are characterized by their passion for excellence, high ethical and professional standards, dynamic leadership and social responsibility.

“I am humbled by this award and recognition by my peers,” Dimond said. “Giving back to the community and social responsibility has long been both a passion of mine and one of the core values of Greenberg Traurig. Together we both remain committed to enhancing the legal profession and the Greater Miami community.”

At Greenberg Traurig, Dimond focuses his practice on general commercial litigation and real estate-related litigation. Dimond has represented numerous major corporations, individuals and governmental entities, ranging from local and regional real estate developers to multi-national corporations, in a wide range of commercial and real estate related litigation.

Dimond is involved in a multitude of professional and community organizations including Co-Chair of the United Way Tocqueville Society, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami School of Law and a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Orange Bowl Committee. Dimond has long been active with the American Bar Association, and currently Chairs the State Court’s Committee of its Standing Committee on the American Judicial System. He is a past president of The Florida Bar, past Chairman of the Jackson Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and past Chairman of Foundation Health Services.
