Greenberg Traurig Elevates Six Attorneys to Shareholder, Three to Of Counsel at its Florida Offices

MIAMI Feb.  11, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has elevated to Shareholder six Florida attorneys in the Miami and Tampa offices: Steve Bassin; Michael R. Einig; Lacey D. Hofmeyer; Joshua M. Samek; Murray B. Silverstein and Jordan B. Taylor. Andrew J. Patch, Linda M. Reck and Karusha Y. Sharpe in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee respectively, were elevated to Of Counsel.

  • Bassin, a member of the Real Estate Practice Group at the firm’s Miami office, represents hotel, resort, shopping center and other mixed-use real estate developers. His real estate experience includes negotiation and implementation of all aspects of acquisitions, leasing and financing. He received a law degree, magna cum laude, in 2006 from the University of Miami School of Law.

  • Einig, a member of the Tax Practice Group at the firm’s Miami office, focuses his practice on employee benefit plans and executive compensation matters. He received a law degree, cum laude, in 2007 from Western New England College School of Law.

  • Hofmeyer, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm’s Miami office, focuses her practice on resolving complex commercial, real estate, and products liability disputes through the Florida federal and state courts. She received a law degree, cum laude, in 2006 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

  • Samek, a member of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group at the firm’s Miami office, focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, financing transactions and general corporate and business law matters. He received a law degree, summa cum laude, in 2007 from the University of Miami School of Law.

  • Silverstein, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm’s Tampa office, focuses his practice on business, commercial and real property litigation. He received a law degree in 1982 from Stetson University College of Law.

  • Taylor, a member of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group at the firm’s Miami office, focuses his law practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and other general corporate matters. He received a law degree, cum laude, in 2006 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

  • Patch, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm’s Tampa office, concentrates his law practice on International Trade Commission's Section 337 litigation matters. He received a law degree in 2005 from Stanford Law School.

  • Reck, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, focuses her practice on commercial, labor and employment litigation including contract disputes, complex commercial foreclosures, and landlord-tenant disputes. Reck received a law degree, magna cum laude, in 2003 from the University of Miami School of Law.

  • Sharpe, a member of the Litigation Practice Group at the firm’s Tallahassee office, concentrates her practice on a variety of litigation matters involving products liability, consumer financial services, dealership law and employment law. She received a law degree in 2001 from Florida State University College of Law.
