Greenberg Traurig’s Ed Chansky to Speak on Lorman’s Cause Marketing CLE Live Webinar

LAS VEGAS – May 13, 2015 – Ed Chansky, an Intellectual Property & Technology shareholder at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak on Lorman’s live webinar titled “Hot Topics For Nonprofits In Cause Marketing,” taking place Wednesday, May 13, 2015, from 10-11:30 a.m. PT.

According to the Lorman website, this practical, how-to webinar will explain the compliance requirements for the major types of cause marketing programs, including donation-with-purchase, donation-at-checkout, and various "free-action" programs in social media; provide checklists of state registration and disclosure laws; and help nonprofits distinguish between allowable nonprofit acknowledgement of sponsors from potentially taxable advertising under the IRS's qualified sponsorship guidelines and UBIT rules. This program provides the essential information for any nonprofit considering any type of cause marketing program.

Chansky focuses his practice in the areas of intellectual property – particularly development, selection, protection, and licensing of trademarks worldwide – and advertising, sales promotion, and trade-regulation law, including charitable promotions, cause-related marketing, sweepstakes, contests, gift cards, eCommerce, substantiation of advertising claims, social gaming, social media, and all aspects of unfair or deceptive trade practices in a wide variety of industries.
