Greenberg Traurig’s Emerging Technology Group Presents at Philadelphia’s MAKEOffices

PHILADELPHIA — Dec. 16, 2016 — David Gitlin and Alexander L. Scarola, shareholders in the Philadelphia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, along with Beth Cohen, director of the firm’s Global Emerging Growth Services, presented two workshops at MakeOffices, a co-working space for entrepreneurs and business owners based in Philadelphia.

On Nov. 1, 2016, Scarola presented, “Borrowing for Working Capital and Capital Needs,” which focused on the potential advantages of borrowing for working capital. Scarola educated participants about the different aspects of short-term and long-term capital loans, as well as their impact on emerging business.

On Aug. 16, 2016, Gitlin, co-leader of the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice presented, “Understanding Shareholder Agreement,” which discussed the importance of establishing strong agreements with shareholders, especially during the early stages of a company.
