Greenberg Traurig Bolsters Capital Markets Practice with Marc M. Rossell in New York

NEW YORK – May 12, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP continues to respond to client needs by attracting additional top-tier talent to its Capital Markets and Latin American and Iberian practices, most recently adding Marc M. Rossell as a Corporate & Securities shareholder in the New York City office. Rossell will be a leader in the firm’s Latin American Capital Markets Practice in New York. Before joining Greenberg Traurig, Rossell was a partner at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where he was head of the Capital Markets Group.

Rossell focuses his practice on securities offerings, including both equity and debt offerings. He has been involved in many of the largest securities offerings out of Latin America, including landmark privatization offerings by the Argentine government's national oil company and telephone companies, the privatization of the Peruvian telephone company, as well as many high-yield debt offerings and equity offerings of companies in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela, among others. Earlier in his career, Rossell spent a considerable amount of time as bank advisory committee counsel, focusing on the restructuring of the external debt of many countries in Latin America. More recently, he has focused on the issuance of project bonds to finance construction projects in several innovative transactions.

Greenberg Traurig’s Latin American and Iberian team includes attorneys located in the firm’s Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, and New York offices. Many of the attorneys previously served as chief legal officers and regional counsel for multinational companies including multilatinas in various industries, such as telecommunications, banking, energy, infrastructure and hospitality.

Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City office advises domestic and international clients with respect to their interests in Mexico City and across the region. The lawyers in Mexico City work closely with colleagues located in other offices across the firm to represent Mexican and Latin American clients in connection with their transactional and regulatory matters in the United States and other international markets.  The Mexico City office is one of the largest law firms in Mexico with approximately 40 bilingual, dual-licensed attorneys.
