BOSTON — August 11, 2016 — Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added patent attorney Robert L. Hover as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group in the Boston office. Hover counsels technology clients on patent prosecution and IP portfolio management, and assists with the preparation of patentability, validity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions, and IP licenses. His experience spans diverse technologies, including aviation, medical devices, manufacturing, mechanical, radar and laser, robotics, signal and image processing, optics, pulp and paper, communications, defense and aerospace, traditional and renewable energy, semiconductors, electronics, and software.
Prior to his legal career, Hover worked as an aeronautical engineer supporting General Electric and Pratt & Whitney.
The addition of Hover is the latest in a series of strategic new hires in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, including shareholder Dr. Melissa Hunter-Ensor and registered patent agent Elbert C. Chiang, Ph.D. in the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Group, and shareholder Edward S. Hershfield in the firm’s Real Estate Group. Also, Amanda L. Reynolds was recently elevated to an associate in the Litigation and Labor & Employment Groups.
