Greenberg Traurig’s Hope Keating Named Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

TALLAHASSEE – Aug. 2, 2016 – M. Hope Keating, a shareholder in the Tallahassee Appellate Practice of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., has been named to the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.

“I am honored to have been recognized by my peers for both my professional and personal work,” said Keating. “I look forward to joining this prestigious group of Fellows who are devoted to the study and advancement of the legal profession.”

According to the American Bar Foundation, the Fellows is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. Membership in The Fellows is limited to 1 percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by their peers and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.

At Greenberg Traurig, Keating handles appeals for clients in both state and federal courts. Her areas of representation include all aspects of civil and administrative law. Additionally, she regularly advises health care facilities and providers on a wide array of complex and practical regulatory matters such as licensure, medical records, end-of-life issues, patient discharge, contracts, and Medicare and Medicaid certification.

Keating is involved in a multitude of community initiatives including: Immediate Past President, William H. Stafford American Inn of Court; member, First District Appellate American Inn of Court; member, The Florida Bar (Animal Law, Appellate Practice and Advocacy and Health Law sections); member and Silver Owl, National Press Club; and sustaining member, Junior League of Tallahassee. She is also a former board member of the Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle, Inc.

Throughout her career, Keating has received numerous awards and recognitions. Most recently, she was listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Appellate Practice, Health Care Law, 2010-2016.
