Greenberg Traurig’s Sabrina Gallo Participated in The HealthIT 2017 Leading Trends Program

MIAMI - March 17, 2017 -  Sabrina R. Gallo, a shareholder in the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP spoke at the HealthIT 2017 Leading Trends Program hosted by the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association (SFHHA). The program took place March 8, at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. Gallo discussed the 2017 legislative HealthIT outlook.

The program covered additional topics including, the future of analytics, tele-medicine and consumer data, cybersecurity, and innovating patient engagement. SFHHA’s mission is to improve the efficient delivery of quality healthcare services to communities by championing collaboration and communication among leaders across the healthcare continuum.

Gallo is a shareholder in the firm’s Health & FDA Business and Litigation groups. As a trial lawyer, Gallo defends products liability cases, including class actions and individual smoking and health lawsuits, as well as complex commercial litigation in both federal and state courts. Her proficiency with Health & FDA litigation has been instrumental in assisting and advising health care clients under state and federal regulatory compliance laws and with M&A deals. Her experience includes advising clients about health care fraud and abuse, HIPAA and HITECH, Medicare, Medicaid, third-party reimbursement programs, false claims laws and regulations, STARK law, and anti-kickback laws.
