Francoise Gilbert Presents on the Effect of the EU GDPR on Advertising and Marketing

SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 23, 2018 – Francoise Gilbert, shareholder at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak on the effect the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has on marketing activities on a webinar titled, “Advertising Success in the World of GDPR,” organized on Jan. 25. Ms. Gilbert will address how GDPR may apply to marketers that advertise to individuals who are in the EU/EEA; the notice, accountability, and security requirements; the effect of the restrictions to cross-border data transfers; and the extensive rights granted to individuals residing in the EU/EEA.

A shareholder in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, Ms. Gilbert focuses her practice and research on U.S. and global data privacy and cybersecurity in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, preparation for and compliance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), artificial intelligence, data science, connected devices, sensors, robotics, and other emerging or disruptive technologies.
