Roman Fayerberg Elected Co-Chair of BBA IP Section

BOSTON – Nov. 6, 2018 – Roman Fayerberg, a shareholder in the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice in Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Boston office, has been elected co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) Intellectual Property (IP) Law Section. Fayerberg’s two-year term began Sept. 1, 2018.

Fayerberg will help oversee the IP Law Section’s nine committees. The IP Law Section regularly publishes material dealing with each committee’s field of expertise, sponsors conferences and seminars, and monitors legislation and policies that impact businesses in Massachusetts.

Fayerberg is a registered patent attorney, who focuses his practice on the development and management of strategic patent portfolios and counseling clients on patent issues, primarily in technologies related to medical devices, drug delivery systems, biodegradable polymers and films, and coating formulations for medical devices and other commercial applications. He also advises clients in connection with IP due diligence investigations for venture capital investment, mergers and acquisitions, and licensing opportunities. He has experience in U.S. and international trademarks, and has litigated patent, trademark and trade dress infringement and unfair competition actions in federal courts, and conducted opposition and cancelation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Fayerberg’s patent practice builds on the seven years of experience he gained as a research and development engineer at C.R. Bard and Boston Scientific Corporation.
