Terence McCourt to Present at 2019 NCSHA Annual Conference

BOSTON – Oct. 18, 2019 Terence P. McCourt, managing shareholder of the Boston office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP,, chairman of the office’s Labor & Employment practice, and co-chair of the firm’s Labor-Management Relations group,  will be a featured speaker at the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) Annual Conference and Showplace, Oct. 19 – 22, 2019, in Boston.

McCourt will present, “What’s New from the EEOC?” on Oct. 21 from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. His presentation will review the latest updates from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, including developments under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as other employment laws.

McCourt represents a broad range of organizations in all facets of management-side labor and employment law. During more than two decades of practice, he has gained a national reputation for his practical, strategic approach to employment law issues. As both a former deputy chief legal counsel to the governor of Massachusetts and former general counsel to the Massachusetts secretary of labor, McCourt’s insights are informed by a deep understanding of government operations.

His wide-ranging litigation experience includes handling diverse employment matters, ranging from employment discrimination and wrongful termination cases in state and federal courts to labor arbitration cases and internal corporate investigations. McCourt also counsels employers concerning day-to-day human resources issues as well as myriad legal requirements in the workplace – particularly as related to significant operational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, business relocations or reductions in force.
