SACRAMENTO – Nov. 7, 2019 – Shareholder Timothy Long and associate Alicia R. Intriago, of the Sacramento office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, were recognized for serving on the Eastern District of California's Voluntary Dispute Resolution Program (VDRP) and Pro Bono Panel, respectively at an event held on Nov. 14 at the Kennedy Learning Center in Sacramento, located at the Federal Courthouse for the Eastern District of California. Hosted by the Federal Bar Association, the event celebrated attorneys who have dedicated their time towards these programs.
According to the Eastern District’s website, the VDRP enables prisoner plaintiffs and other participants to take advantage of a variety of alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation, early neutral evaluation, negotiation, and settlement facilitation. The Eastern District’s Pro Bono Panel, according to the website, represents prisoner plaintiffs in lawsuits challenging confinement conditions or alleging unconstitutional treatment.
