The Emerging 100 Names Mitchell Robinson as the Newly Elected President

ATLANTA – April 29, 2019 – Mitchell A. Robinson, an associate in the Atlanta office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is the newly elected president of the Emerging 100. Robinson will serve as resident for a two-year term, effective May 10, 2019.

The Emerging 100 is the official auxiliary of young professionals in association with the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc. Created in 2010, the organization consists of “high-achieving young men, aged 25-35” who are leaders in a variety of professions across Atlanta. The goal of this organization is to “enhance the mentoring and tutoring programs of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Inc. with a focus at B.E.S.T. Academy High School and the Collegiate 100, while serving as role models to the entire community.”

As president of the organization, Robinson will be the chief executive officer and chairman of the executive board, where he will set the vision of the Emerging 100 for his term. He will serve as the chief liaison with the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, Inc., formulate policies and direct operations, promote the organization’s mission and goals, make administrative decisions, and preside over membership and Executive Board meetings.

“I am truly honored to be named the president of the Emerging 100,” said Robinson. “I have a responsibility to serve my community and provide the same mentorship I have been blessed to receive throughout my life to others. I am looking forward to making my mark on this organization and its mission and I hope to make a lasting impact on students across Atlanta as we work with the Collegiate 100 and B.E.S.T. Academy High School.”

Robinson’s practice focuses on litigation and labor and employment practices. He has a variety of experience representing and counseling employers in collective and class action cases and in restrictive covenant ligation in federal and state courts. These cases involve employment discrimination, breaches of employer’s confidentiality, sexual harassment, non-compete covenants and government investigations. He is listed as a “Rising Star” for 2019 Georgia Super Lawyers and was a member of the litigation team recognized as The American Lawyer’s “Regional Litigation Department of the Year – Georgia” in 2018.
