ORLANDO – July 22, 2019 – Colin S. Baker, a shareholder in the Litigation Practice of the Orlando office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recently appointed to the board of directors of the Orange County Regional History Center.
The History Center, which opened in 2000, is operated by Orange County and the non-profit Historical Society of Central Florida, Inc. It is recognized as one of Florida’s preeminent cultural institutions with a mission to honor the past, explore the present, and shape the future through permanent and traveling exhibits, wide-ranging programs, and limited-run exhibitions.
“It is a true pleasure for me to serve on the board of The History Center, furthering the important work that the organization does in Orange County,” Baker said. “I hope to contribute in numerous ways to the center’s highly educational programming and events.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Baker focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. He helps clients in matters involving shareholder and partnership disputes, contracts, business torts, creditor’s rights, employment issues and non-compete agreements, as well as real estate ownership and development. Baker has also represented various local governments in complex constitutional litigation in federal and state courts.
Active in Orange County’s legal community and beyond, Baker is a board member of the Orlando Chapter of The Federal Bar Association, and a member of the Orange County Bar Association. He is a member of the Downtown Orlando Partnership and a graduate of Leadership Orlando, Class 90.
