ORLANDO – July 22, 2019 –Julie P. Kendig-Shrader, a shareholder in the Environmental Practice in the Orlando office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recently appointed to the 2019-2020 board of directors of the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce.
The board of directors of the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce is the governing body of the organization, that sets the strategic mission of the chamber in addition to advocating on behalf of the rapidly growing businesses in the Apopka area. Additionally, by working in partnership with the City of Apopka, Orange County, and the Orlando Economic Partnership, the chamber is focused on supporting the economic development, prosperity, and sustainability of the community and region through connectivity, leadership, education, and support.
“I am very much looking forward to serving on the board, whose mission is vital to the quality of life in the Apopka area,” Kendig-Shrader said. “As a board member, helping to implement the chamber’s many initiatives that make a positive difference in our community every year will be my priority.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Kendig-Shrader represents both the public and private sector in land use and environmental matters and administrative litigation. She works with clients to create public/private partnerships for infrastructure needs, particularly those related to transportation.
Kendig-Shrader currently serves as member of the board of directors of the Osceola/Kissimmee Chamber of Commerce and previously served as a member of the board of directors of Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Land Use and Environmental Law Section of The Florida Bar, as well as a member of the Administrative Law Section of The Florida Bar.
