ALBANY – July 26, 2019 – Kelly L. McNamee, a litigation associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Albany office, has been named to City & State’s 2019 Albany 40 Under 40 Rising Stars list.
According to City & State, their Rising Star lists recognizes prominent and accomplished professionals in government, business, and media whose achievements, leadership, and philanthropic efforts make a positive impact on New York.
McNamee focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, antitrust litigation, government investigations, white collar defense, securities enforcement, and breach of contract matters. She has experience in large-scale complex litigations, multiparty electronic discovery, and comprehensive regulatory proceedings addressing wholesale competitive electric markets in the Northeast.
McNamee gives her time freely to pro bono and publishing activities. She has represented transgender clients in asylum proceedings and has published various pieces covering First Amendment and LGBTQ+ topics. She recently authored an article in the NYSBA Journal regarding her experience as a LGBTQ+ job candidate and diversity efforts in big law. McNamee also serves on the boards of both the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall and the Capital Region chapter of Girls, Inc.
