Jordan Cowman Joins The Sedona Conference Working Group 6

DALLAS – Jan. 9, 2020– Jordan Cowman, shareholder in the Dallas office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been selected as a member of The Sedona Conference (TSC) Working Group 6 (WG6). The WG6 Cross-Border Privilege Brainstorming Group was created to consider global jurisdictional differences in the standards for recognizing the scope of privilege and other disclosure protections for attorney-related materials and the challenges that these differences create for attorneys, parties, courts, regulators, and others in cross-border matters where one jurisdiction recognizes a privilege that another does not.

TSC is a nonpartisan, nonprofit research and educational institute dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of antitrust law, complex litigation, and intellectual property rights. As a member of Working Group 6, Cowman will play an essential role in the advancement of TSC mission to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way.

“It’s an honor to have this opportunity to share information, develop best practices, and educate others on matters of national and international law and policy regarding the attorney-client privilege.” Cowman said. “I am excited to learn and work alongside fellow group members.”

Cowman will serve as a Dialogue Leader at the Sedona Conference in NYC February 10-11. Cowman is Co-Chair of the Greenberg Traurig Labor & Employment Practice’s International Employment, Immigration & Workforce Strategies Group. He represents a broad range of organizations in all facets of management-side labor and employment law.

Cowman also advises employers concerning day-to-day human resources issues, as well as myriad legal requirements in the workplace, particularly related to significant operational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, business relocations, and reductions in force.
